Normandien Farms (PTY) Ltd requires the services of a Dry Mill Manager to be based in Empuluzi Sawmill.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The planning and despatch of the daily despatch numbers
- Managing the order book and working hand in hand with the sales, despatch and transport teams
- Raw material stock Management
- Daily line Production levels Including finger jointer operations
- Grade conversion and Recovery Management
- Weekly/Daily production planning
- Daily Maintenance, breakdown reporting and communication with Maintenance Manager, includes preventative measures required
- Staff Management and all disciplinary actions required
- Quality
- Data Capture Accuracy
- Housekeeping and stock rotation
Requirements
- Grade 12
- NMMU(Saasveld) Wood technology or BSc (Wood Science) qualification advantageous
- At least 5 years sawmilling experience, with references
- Good Knowledge and experience of saw milling equipment
- Timber seasoning experience required
- Good knowledge of relevant SANS standards
- Good understanding of Planned Maintenance procedures
- Experience working in a high-pressured production environment
- Ability to work under pressure
- Available to work overtime when required
Required minimum qualifications / experience
- Admin/Office management qualification advantageous.
- Time and Attendance experience would be an advantage.
- MS Office proficient.
