Start free — we apply for you →Purpose of Role The Drone and Control room operator is responsible for operating security drones for surveillance, risk management and conducting inspections across mining operations Role Context Conduct comprehensive pre-flight inspections to ensure all equipment is in optimal operating condition before aerial surveillance operations and maintain accurate flight logs and mission reports Implement drone deployment strategies, flight schedules, and surveillance patrol plans aligned with security priorities. Plan and execute flight paths in accordance with operational requirements, site conditions, and applicable aviation regulations. Ensure all drone operations comply with applicable aviation laws, regulations, and safety standards. Analyse aerial data and provide actionable security insights to support operational decision-making. Coordinate rapid drone response to security alerts, incidents, field anomalies, and security breaches. Prepare and present evidence for formal proceedings, as required. Troubleshoot and perform minor maintenance on drone equipment. Prepare and submit weekly and monthly surveillance reports highlighting trends, incidents and operational performance. Serve as the technical lead on all drone-related matters during investigations and management reviews.
