Drivers Assistant - KZN

Introduction

To Assist with loading and offloading of goods on the truck for deliveries in accordance with

Driver’s Trip Sheet for Bostik South Africa

Duties & Responsibilities

Goods Delivery

• Daily deliveries to be made in accordance with designated route on Driver's Trip sheet.

• Accurate loading and offloading of goods in accordance with delivery note.

• Assume responsibility and security of all goods on truck.

• Route optimization for on time deliveries by operating and updating GPS hand device.

• Update all orders as per daily route on GPS hand device.

• Ensure Goods are delivered on time and accurately, POD's to be correctly signed and checked by customer.

• Ensure all relevant paperwork is completed accurately for returnable containers and goods and signed for on return by Inbound Distribution.

• Ensure vehicle is clean daily & housekeeping done before going on deliveries each day.

• Report any irregularities that may occur.

• Report any discrepancies immediately when at the customer.

Health & Safety

• Ensure the workplace Is free from hazard and risk, Housekeeping and cleanliness are always maintained

• Exercise your duties with the necessary care that will ensure a safe working condition to yourself and the public.

• Ensure to wear the correct PPE.

• Report immediately any unsafe act/condition.

Customer Relations

• Always maintain a clean appearance and friendly disposition towards customers.

• Ensure consensuses is reached between customer and yourself as to correct quantities and condition of returns and collections.

Ad-hoc Duties

• Ensure flexibility in performing any task deemed reasonable and fair by your direct Manager/superior as or when required.

• Provide support to daily warehouse operations.

• Housekeeping

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Matric/Grade 12

• At least 1-3 years’ experience as a Driver's Assistant.

• Experience in a global multinational company will be beneficial.

• Approachable and good people interpersonal skills.

• Willingness to take action to accomplish tasks, maintaining a high level of motivation and energy.

• Diligence and accuracy of work and systems is a high priority.

• Respond timeously to tasks as required.

• Good communication skills.

• Attention to detail, quality orientation and high work standards.

• Must be a team-player and be willing to assist where necessary.

• Always display qualities of honesty and Integrity.

• Physically fit and self-motivated person with commitment and team spirit

• To work overtime as and when its required
