Scoop Hand Made Ice Cream is looking for a friendly, reliable and hands-on person to join our events team. This varied role combines driving, making ice cream at our factory and serving customers at events.
Your responsibilities
* Drive company vehicles to and from events, transporting ice cream, equipment and supplies safely. * Load and unload vehicles, and help set up and pack down our event stands. * Scoop and serve ice cream, interact with customers and provide friendly, professional service. * Take cash and card payments when required, calculate totals and give customers the correct change. * Assist with making ice cream and other production tasks at our Umhlali factory. * Keep work areas and equipment clean and follow food hygiene procedures. * Work with the team to help events run smoothly.
What we’re looking for
* A valid Code 10 driver’s licence and Professional Driving Permit (PrDP/PDP). * Good spoken English, with the ability to communicate clearly with customers and colleagues. * Good basic numeracy skills, including the ability to handle cash and calculate change accurately. * A friendly, professional manner and confidence dealing with customers. * Previous customer service, hospitality or events experience would be an advantage. * A reliable, punctual team player.
