Driver Code 10 / Storeman – Cape Town
Position Overview
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Driver Code 10 / Storeman to join our client based in Cape Town.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery and collection of goods, while also assisting with general warehouse and store duties. The role requires a hands-on individual who is comfortable working both on the road and within a warehouse/store environment.
Key Responsibilities
Driving & Deliveries
Safely deliver and collect stock and goods from customers and suppliers.
Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on time.
Load and offload goods safely.
Check delivery notes and ensure the correct stock is delivered.
Obtain signatures and proof of delivery (PODs).
Maintain accurate delivery and collection documentation.
Conduct basic daily vehicle inspections.
Report vehicle defects, accidents or maintenance requirements immediately.
Comply with road traffic regulations and company procedures.
Storeman / Warehouse Duties
Receive, check and store incoming stock.
Pick and pack stock according to orders.
Assist with loading and offloading deliveries.
Check stock quantities against invoices and delivery notes.
Maintain accurate stock records.
Assist with stock counts and stocktakes.
Ensure stock is stored correctly and safely.
Keep the warehouse/store area clean, organised and secure.
Report damaged, missing or incorrect stock.
Assist with general warehouse duties when required.
Minimum Requirements
Valid Code 10 Driver's Licence – essential.
Valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP) where required.
Minimum Grade 12 / Matric.
Previous experience as a Code 10 Driver, Storeman, Warehouse Assistant or similar role.
Experience with deliveries, collections, loading and offloading.
Basic stock control and warehouse experience.
Good knowledge of Cape Town and surrounding areas.
Ability to complete and manage delivery documentation and PODs.
Physically fit and able to handle stock and assist with loading/offloading.
Clear driving record preferred.
