Start free — we apply for you →Description SSK Agriland in Plettenberg Bay is looking for an experienced, organised, self-disciplined Driver. The successful candidate must transport inventory to the retail branch, supervise cargo loading and unloading, perform routine vehicle maintenance inspections, and ensure compliance with logbooks and transport regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Transport and deliver stock and agricultural retail products safely and timeously to the designated retail branch.
- Oversee and assist with the safe loading and unloading of goods to prevent inventory damage or loss.
- Conduct mandatory daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, report defects, and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
- Maintain accurate daily vehicle logbooks, fuel receipts, and delivery documentation for operational audit compliance.
- Assist with branch distribution requirements and perform related logistics tasks as directed by the Branch Manager.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
• Grade 12 / Matric Certificate with demonstrated literacy and numeracy skills. • Minimum of three (3) years of proven operational heavy motor vehicle driving experience. • Valid Code 10 (EC1) Driver’s License with a valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP). • Bilingual proficiency, including fluent oral and written communication skills. • Flexibility and willingness to work overtime as required by operational schedules.
