Driver Code 10 - Contractor Position

Location: JHB - Braamfischer - Florida - Southern Suburbs

Reporting to: Operation Type: Contractor Job Sector: Logistics, Warehouse & Freight

Duties and Responsibilities Key Responsibilities: • Safely operate company vehicles requiring a Code 10 driving licence. • Deliver and collect goods according to scheduled routes and instructions. • Conduct daily vehicle inspections before and after each trip. • Ensure all goods are loaded, secured and transported safely. • Verify delivery documentation, invoices, waybills and proof of delivery. • Obtain signed proof of delivery from customers where required. • Report vehicle defects, accidents, delays or incidents immediately. • Maintain accurate trip sheets, vehicle records and delivery documentation. • Assist with loading and offloading goods when required. • Ensure the vehicle is kept clean and in good condition. • Follow planned routes and comply with traffic and road safety regulations. • Maintain professional communication with customers and represent the company positively. • Report any discrepancies, damaged goods or delivery issues to the supervisor. • Perform other reasonable duties related to the transport and logistics function.

Minimum Requirements: • Grade 12 / Matric preferred. • Valid Code 10 driver's licence. • Valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP) where required for the vehicle and duties. • Previous driving or delivery experience preferred. • Good knowledge of South African roads and routes. • Good communication and customer service skills. • Ability to complete delivery documentation accurately. • 3 - 4 Years experience • Rate:39.57 Per Hour
