Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate company vehicles requiring a Code 10 & 14 driver's licence safely and responsibly.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Transport and deliver goods to customers, branches, warehouses, and other designated locations.
- Ensure goods are correctly loaded, secured, transported, and offloaded.
- Complete delivery notes, trip sheets, inspection checklists, and other required documentation.
- Verify quantities and condition of goods before and after transportation.
- Report vehicle defects, accidents, delays, or incidents immediately to the relevant supervisor.
- Maintain accurate records of fuel usage, mileage, deliveries, and vehicle-related activities.
- Ensure the vehicle is kept clean and in good operating condition.
- Adhere to company policies, health and safety requirements, and applicable traffic legislation.
- Maintain professional relationships with customers, suppliers, and colleagues.
- Assist with loading and offloading when required.
- Perform additional duties related to logistics and transportation.

Minimum Requirements
- Valid Code 10 & 14 driver's licence.
- Valid PDP and dangerous goods
- [3-4] years' experience as a professional driver.
- Good knowledge of local and regional routes.
- Good understanding of road safety and traffic regulations.
- Ability to operate commercial vehicles and good communication skills.
- Safely operate Code 14 & 10 vehicles, including heavy trucks and applicable combinations.
- Conduct comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Transport goods between warehouses, distribution centres, suppliers, and customers.
- Ensure cargo is correctly loaded, distributed, secured, and protected during transportation.
- Complete all required trip documentation, delivery notes, and logbooks.
- Plan routes effectively and comply with driving hours and laws.
- Monitor vehicle performance and report defects immediately.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and comply with safety procedures.
- Communicate professionally with stakeholders and follow all company protocols.
- Perform additional transport-related duties as needed.
