Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operate company vehicles requiring a Code 10 & 14 driver's licence safely and responsibly.
  • Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Transport and deliver goods to customers, branches, warehouses, and other designated locations.
  • Ensure goods are correctly loaded, secured, transported, and offloaded.
  • Complete delivery notes, trip sheets, inspection checklists, and other required documentation.
  • Verify quantities and condition of goods before and after transportation.
  • Report vehicle defects, accidents, delays, or incidents immediately to the relevant supervisor.
  • Maintain accurate records of fuel usage, mileage, deliveries, and vehicle-related activities.
  • Ensure the vehicle is kept clean and in good operating condition.
  • Adhere to company policies, health and safety requirements, and applicable traffic legislation.
  • Maintain professional relationships with customers, suppliers, and colleagues.
  • Assist with loading and offloading when required.
  • Perform additional duties related to logistics and transportation.
  • Clean criminal record
  • Good knowledge of local and regional routes

Minimum Requirements

  • Valid Code 10 & 14 driver's licence.
  • Valid PDP and dangerous goods
  • [3-4] years' experience as a professional driver.
  • Good knowledge of local and regional routes.
  • Good understanding of road safety and traffic regulations.
  • Ability to operate commercial vehicles and good communication skills.
  • Safely operate Code 14 & 10 vehicles, including heavy trucks and applicable combinations.
  • Conduct comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
  • Transport goods between warehouses, distribution centres, suppliers, and customers.
  • Ensure cargo is correctly loaded, distributed, secured, and protected during transportation.
  • Complete all required trip documentation, delivery notes, and logbooks.
  • Plan routes effectively and comply with driving hours and laws.
  • Monitor vehicle performance and report defects immediately.
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and comply with safety procedures.
  • Communicate professionally with stakeholders and follow all company protocols.
  • Perform additional transport-related duties as needed.
