- Carries out the drafting requirements for new or existing projects by producing product/component drawings
- Produces technically accurate manufacturing drawings
- Generates Flat Patterns of products/components for laser cutting, bending, welding etc
- Liaises with both sales and manufacturing on any changes that may be required.
- Generates revised manufacturing drawings for Production and design drawings for Sales
- Reports on drawing progress and generates revised drawings for sign off
- Liaises with both sales and manufacturing on any drawing changes/amendments
- Produces high quality renders from models of components/products
- Assists in the design and development of new products/components or redesigns for existing products
- Ensures conformance to customer specifications, company standards as well as other regulation requirements
- Complies with project deadlines
- Ensures timely completion of all allocated drawings
- Responsible for the Drawing Library – revises drawings to keep Library accurate and current
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Draughting Qualification (MDDOP or similar)
- Proficient in Autodesk Autocad and Inventor
- Min 5 years’ relevant experience
- Sheet metal and steel fabrication experience – essential
- Shelving and/or racking industry experience – advantageous
