A well-established Mining Consultant company based in Germiston, Gauteng, is seeking a skilled SolidWorks Draughtsman/ Design Engineer to join their dynamic team. Duties & Responsibilities
Requirements
- Matric (National Senior Certificate)
- Draughting Certificate Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Advantageous)
- Proficiency in SolidWorks with experience in sheet metal design .
- Knowledge of furnace systems (Advantageous)
- Strong PC literacy and ability to work with various software tools.
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of Fleet and SHEQ regulations (Advantageous).
Responsibilities
- Create detailed 2D and 3D designs using SolidWorks .
- Work with sheet metal (up to 10mm thickness) to develop high-quality designs.
- Ensure designs align with fluid dynamics principles for optimal efficiency.
- Ensure all drawings meet project specifications and manufacturing requirements.
- Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to optimize designs.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all design projects.
- Oversee fleet and SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) requirements for the company.
