Divisional Manager: Mergers and Acquisitions Division

We are looking for a strategic and accomplished leader who meets the following requirements: A Master’s degree in Economics, Law or an equivalent relevant qualification. A relevant postgraduate qualification in Finance, Corporate Finance, Investment, Financial Analysis or a related field would be an added advantage. A minimum of 10 years’ overall related working experience in a competition/regulatory environment, including at least 5 years’ experience in a managerial role. Experience operating at an executive level, including reporting to or engaging directly with a CEO, Board, Executive Committee or equivalent senior governance structure, would be an added advantage. Strong knowledge and understanding of Competition Law, Economics and the broader business and regulatory environment. Demonstrated experience in providing strategic leadership and direction within a complex regulatory environment. Proven ability to exercise sound judgement and provide strategic guidance on complex legal, economic and regulatory matters. Strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills. Proven leadership and people-management capability. Ability to prepare and present policy-related briefings and proposals. Strong business and commercial acumen, including an understanding of transaction dynamics and the broader commercial environment. Presentation and report-writing skills.
