Introduction Our client, a leading player in the Chemical and Mineralogy sectors, is seeking an accomplished Divisional Manager to steer their Chemical and Mineral Products Division. This is a strategic leadership opportunity for a results-driven professional passionate about driving sustainable growth, optimizing operational performance, and expanding market presence in a dynamic industry.

Description

What You'll Do

  • Oversee the full commercial and operational performance of the division, ensuring revenue and margin targets are met.
  • Manage existing product lines while identifying and introducing new products to the market.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the sales team to achieve business objectives.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans aligned with long-term growth.
  • Maintain and deepen knowledge of industrial chemicals and minerals, including Boron products and fertilizers.
  • Foster relationships with key clients and stakeholders, supporting business development initiatives.
  • Utilize data analysis and performance metrics to inform decision-making.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in chemical, mineral, or commodity trading and/or sales.
  • At least 3 years in a senior or management role.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial chemicals and minerals.
  • Experience with Chemicals, Minerals and commodity trading.
  • Proven skills in analysis, strategic planning, team leadership, and performance management.
  • Excellent data analysis capabilities.

Familiarity with the following

  • Chemical industry trends and market dynamics.
  • Regulatory and safety standards within the chemical and minerals sectors.
