Divisional Accountant

Our client is seeking a Divisional Accountant to join their finance team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys taking ownership of reporting, reconciliations, controls, and month-end processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate accounting records, reliable financial reporting, and strong financial controls while supporting operational management with financial insights and analysis. The role also includes procurement administration, supplier compliance management, and continuous process improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and supporting schedules
• Ensure transactions are captured accurately and in the correct accounting period
• Perform balance sheet, bank, and control account reconciliations
• Prepare and review payment runs
• Manage supplier queries and accounts payable processes
• Maintain supplier compliance documentation and BBBEE records
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities
• Assist operational management with reporting and financial analysis
• Support internal and external audits
• Monitor and improve financial controls and processes
• Identify and implement process improvements and cost-saving initiatives
• Support management with ad hoc financial tasks and reporting requirements.

Job Experience and Skills Required Education:

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field advantageous. Experience:

• 2-5 years' accounting experience • Financial reporting and reconciliations experience • Accounts payable exposure • Audit support experience • Budgeting and forecasting exposure advantageous • Team leadership exposure beneficial Skills:
