Distribution Manager

Corruseal Group is seeking a results-driven Distribution Manager to join Corruseal Corrugated Gauteng, based in Boksburg. This role focuses on executing all on-site distribution functions, embedding lean principles, ensuring statutory compliance, and driving continuous improvement across the supply chain.

About the Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end distribution function – including raw materials, finished goods, dispatch, returns, and warehousing – while maintaining stock accuracy, managing material handling equipment, and ensuring the continuous flow of product in line with SQDC requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with the company safety strategy and risk management requirements

• Comply with all statutory and quality standards – ISO 9001, FSC, FSSC 22000, OHS Act (1993), and related requirements

• Manage risk across all distribution functions

Distribution & Warehouse Management

• Manage all distribution functions – raw materials, finished goods, dispatch, returns, and waste loading

• Manage the paper stores and finished goods warehouse

• Plan and optimise the off-loading of paper trucks

• Maintain stock accuracy and quality

• Establish and maintain all distribution standards

• Comply with customer mass-customisation and unique demands

• Reduce supply chain waste across raw materials and finished goods dumps/waste

Operational Excellence

• Embed the Lean philosophy across all work practices and management

• Develop and manage shift strategy to ensure continuous flow of product

• Manage all material handling equipment – charging protocols, asset management, and abuse/damage control

People & Leadership

• Act as custodian of the forklift driver learnership programme

• Act as custodian of all HR practices – talent development, performance management, disciplinary code, recruitment, and talent retention

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

• Relevant B-Com Degree in Supply Chain / Logistics or Industrial Engineering (NQF Level 7)

Experience

• Strong leadership track record

• Proven 5-8 years experience as a Distribution Manager, or strong exposure to supply chain management in a high-velocity plant environment

• Demonstrated experience in people management at various levels

Technical Competencies

• People management and customer relationship management

• Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution (CLTD) – advantageous

• Working knowledge of TMS, WMS, and YMS systems

Leadership Competencies

• Ability to coach and develop teams

• Performance management and capability development

• Change leadership in a lean transformation environment
