Dispatch Supervisor

Our team is expanding, and we are seeking a skilled Dispatch Supervisor to lead our operations and drive growth.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Coordinate dispatch, sort, inbound, loading/offloading, and computer teams for smooth operations.

• Ensure effective communication across warehouse, transportation, and other departments.

• Oversee timely and accurate shipment dispatch, including driver task verification and manifest printing.

• Conduct daily checks to ensure warehouse and transportation area cleanliness and hygiene compliance.

• Resolve incomplete address issues for inbound shipment

• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

• Monitor and follow up on driver performance to ensure compliance with company standards and improveoverall productivity.

• Conduct regular quality inspections of drivers and their work to identify areas for improvement and reduce delivery errors.

• Provide ongoing training and support to drivers to enhance their skills and ensure top-notch performance.

• Address performance-related issues proactively and implement corrective actions when necesary

• Oversee the management of the Out for Delivery (OFD) inventory to ensure parcels are dispatched in a timely and accurate manner, reducing delays and loss.

• In this role, you will be responsible for the overall management and performance of the courier team, ensuring efficient, timely, and cost-effective delivery operations while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

• Warehouse Management

• Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, dispatch, and inventory management.

• Ensure the proper placement of goods, optimize warehouse layout, and maximize space utilization to improve efficiency.

• Supervise and improve sorting, packing, and loading/unloading processes to ensure smooth, accurate, and timely operations.

• Regularly inspect warehouse equipment and safety measures to ensure compliance with operational standards.

• Handle inventory discrepancies, losses, and manage inbound issues such as incomplete or incorrect address shipments.

• Analyze causes and implement corrective actions to minimize operational disruptions.

• Conduct daily inventory checks, ensuring accurate stock levels and timely updates in the system. Coordinate with inbound, dispatch, and sort teams to ensure seamless integration

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Candidate must have completed a minimum of National Diploma (NQF6) in related field

• Miminum of 2 years experience in logistics, Dispatch or fleet cordination

• Candidate must have basic knowledge on how to use microsoft offices (Excel, PowerPoint & Word)

• Strong problem-solving and organizational skill
