- We are seeking a Dispatch Shift Supervisor to lead our Modderrivier plant's Dispatch team . You will be responsible for supervising daily dispatch operations , ensuring compliance with quality standards, and coordinating closely with the Maintenance Manager to keep equipment running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage dispatch staff to achieve daily targets and objectives.
- Implement and oversee quality control checks to ensure compliance with environmental, statutory, health, and safety regulations.
- Monitor packing weights, investigate discrepancies, and correct deviations.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stocktaking in line with VKB procedures.
- Manage claims, returned stock, and provide feedback to internal and external stakeholders.
- Control stock movement and process flows for accurate accounting practices.
- Complete all required administrative duties, including daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
- Implement cost-saving measures across all operations.
- Conduct regular team meetings to engage and motivate staff.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with internal departments, external clients, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with FSSC and other relevant auditing processes .
- Confirm statutory compliance in line with VKB and international standards.
- Oversee daily housekeeping and maintain a safe, organized work environment.
- Contribute to production and budget forecasting for the plant.
- Perform scheduled basic maintenance on all plant equipment.
Requirements
- Grade 12 / NQF Level 4 minimum.
- Computer literate.
- 2–3 years' experience in a similar supervisory role within Logistics or food production.
- Clear criminal record.
- Traceable references in a similar capacity.
- Willingness to work overtime, standby, and night shifts .
- Valid drivers' license, EC Code 14 will be an advantage
