To take full ownership in the efficient management of the day to day dispatch operation, ensuring that customers expectations are exceeded in terms of delivery times, quantity and type of product, quality of product and packaging, addressing queries and overall level of customer service.
Education, experience and competencies required
- 6 Years experience within a Dispatch environment
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar leadership position
- Experience managing all aspects of a Transport function (in house and contracted)
- Degree or Diploma in Logistics/Dispatch Management
- Excellent knowledge of warehouse/dispatch operation
- Maintenance systems and processes
- Excellent Leadership and Management Skills
- Communication an interpersonal skills
- Above average planning and organizing
- Conflict Management and People Management Skills
- Computer literate
- Knowledge of Food Quality safety and Health and Safety
- Positive attitude and energy
- Able to operate independently
- Attention to detail/High Standards
- Tenacity – deal with pressure/stress
