Dispatch Clerk (FMCG/Retail) - Salt River/Woodstock

About the Role

• We are seeking a dedicated Dispatch Clerk to manage the flow of goods and ensure timely delivery operations within our logistics team. Your primary focus will be supporting the dispatch process, coordinating shipments, and maintaining accurate records. This role is integral to ensuring our customer commitments are met efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• You will coordinate with the warehouse team to prepare orders for dispatch.
• Maintain accurate shipping and delivery records, ensuring all documentation is complete.
• Schedule and monitor transportation arrangements for timely delivery of goods.
• Communicate with drivers and customers to provide updates on shipment status.
• Resolve any issues that arise during the dispatch process, ensuring a quick turnaround.
• Assist in tracking inventory levels and reporting discrepancies as necessary.
• Collaborate with the logistics team to optimize delivery routes and reduce costs.
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards in all dispatch operations.

Requirements

• Proven track record in a logistics or dispatch role within a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency in using dispatch management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
• A valid driver's license may be required based on operational needs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in an ERP system or similar logistics software.
• Knowledge of local and regional transportation routes.
• Relevant certifications in logistics or supply chain management will be advantageous.
