The Release Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the implementation and deployment of newly designed systems and developed features, ensuring their rollout for full operational use. This role is essential for coordinating releases and deployments across all Development and Infrastructure teams, maintaining a unified schedule of deployments. The Release Coordinator will complete daily deployment operations, ensuring that all activities are executed on schedule and within compliance with established standards
What you'll do
Coordinate and execute the daily deployment process, ensuring timely and efficient rollouts.
Collaborate with multiple Release Managers, Product Owners, DevOps Infrastructure subject matter experts, and Software Engineers to facilitate deployment activities.
Identify and manage exceptions and deviations from the deployment process, ensuring effective resolution.
Communicate updates regarding new and changed policies related to deployment procedures. Communicate deployment status
Ensure adherence to deployment standards and procedures across all teams.
Facilitate resource commitment and allocation to support deployment activities.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement enhancements to increase efficiency.
Create, analyse, and distribute process reports to stakeholders.
Serve as the primary point of contact for the deployment process, engaging with clients, service providers, and management.
Facilitate the resolution of issues related to compliance with deployment processes and standards.
Follow defined escalation paths as outlined in the escalation policy when necessary.
Notify participants when standards and procedures are not being adhered to.
Perform ongoing administration of deployment processes, ensuring completeness and integrity of information.
Evaluate process performance and establish measurements and targets for continuous improvement.
Assist in auditing the deployment process for compliance with documented procedures.
Chair daily deployment change meetings to discuss progress and address any challenges.
In certain agreed features to be deployed the release co-ordinator will also be responsible for:
Integration, Prep and Prod Testing co-ordination
Release impact analysis, and Facilitate Cutover, Training & Comms plan for the feature.
What you'll bring
Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field – (essential).
+2 years’ experience in a relevant role, with demonstrable experience overseeing and delivering the design, testing, and deployment of releases into production environments – (essential).
Proven experience in release management and deployment coordination in a technical environment.
Strong understanding of software development and IT infrastructure processes.
Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Experience in process improvement methodologies and tools.
Familiarity with compliance standards and audit processes is a plus.
