Detail: Requirements: Qualified Diesel Mechanic with a recognised trade qualification. Previous experience working on agricultural machinery, heavy equipment, or diesel-powered vehicles. Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills. Ability to perform mechanical repairs, servicing, and preventative maintenance. Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and diesel fuel systems. Ability to work independently and within a team. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Valid driver's licence. Strong communication and organisational skills. Commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards. Responsibilities: Diagnose, service, repair, and maintain diesel engines and agricultural machinery. Perform routine servicing and preventative maintenance on tractors, harvesters, implements, and other farming equipment. Carry out mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic repairs. Conduct fault-finding and identify mechanical failures efficiently. Replace and repair worn or damaged components. Test machinery after repairs to ensure optimal performance. Complete job cards, service reports, and maintenance records accurately. Ensure all work complies with manufacturer specifications and company standards. Maintain workshop equipment, tools, and a clean, safe working environment. Respond to breakdowns and perform emergency repairs when required. Assist with planning and scheduling maintenance activities to minimise equipment downtime. Identify potential issues before they result in major mechanical failures. Follow all health and safety regulations and company procedures. Provide technical advice and support where required. Work collaboratively with workshop staff and management to ensure operational efficiency. Carry out any other reasonable duties assigned by management.
