South African Citizens and those living in the area will have preference. Detail: Minimum Job Requirements Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent. Recognised Diesel Mechanic / Earthmoving Mechanic trade qualification (Red Seal). Minimum 3–5 years' experience as a Diesel Mechanic in a mining or heavy earthmoving environment. Proven hands-on experience working on: CAT Articulated Dump Trucks (ADTs) CAT Dozers Hitachi Excavators Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, transmissions, drivetrains and electrical systems . Experience with fault-finding, diagnostics, repairs and preventative maintenance on heavy earthmoving equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, hydraulic schematics and electrical diagrams . Experience conducting planned maintenance, breakdown repairs and inspections . Knowledge of mining equipment safety standards and safe maintenance practices . Valid driver's licence . Ability to work shifts, overtime and in a demanding mining environment. Good communication, problem-solving and teamwork skills. Advantageous: Experience with CAT diagnostic systems (e.g. CAT ET ) and Hitachi diagnostic equipment.
