• Grade 12 • Valid Driver's License with PDP. • English and an African language (More than one preferable) • Must be able to read and write • 5 years minimum Diesel mechanic's experience on maintenance, rebuilding and repairs. • Must have a red seal certificate as Diesel Mechanic • Must have knowledge of the following machines. Hitachi 870-5, Komatsu pc850, Volvo ex950, Volvo A40G, A40F and A60H, Volvo R60H, Komatsu HM400-2,3, Komatsu D65-16, D375-6,8 and Komatsu GD675 . • Must be willing to work under pressure and work overtime. • Knowledge of rebuilding engines will be advantageous. • Must have own tools. • No criminal record • Must be medically fit. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Breakdown Maintenances
- Planned and unplanned maintenance
- Fault finding
- Requisition of parts needed.
- Follow up on breakdowns.
- Rebuilds
- Operating and maintaining
- Completing checklists
- Adhering to relevant regulations and safety standards.
- Inspect equipment for proper functioning.
