REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12
- Valid Driver's License with PDP.
- English and an African language More than one preferable
- Must be able to read and write
- 5 years minimum Diesel mechanic's experience on maintenance, rebuilding and repairs.
- Must have a red seal certificate as Diesel Mechanic
- Must have knowledge of the following machines. Hitachi 870-5, Komatsu pc850, Volvo ex950, Volvo A40G, A40F and A60H, Volvo R60H, Komatsu HM400-2,3, Komatsu D65-16, D375-6,8 and Komatsu GD675.
- Must be willing to work under pressure and work overtime.
- Knowledge of rebuilding engines will be advantageous.
- Must have own tools.
- No criminal record
- Must be medically fit.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Breakdown Maintenances
- Planned and unplanned maintenance
- Fault finding
- Requisition of parts needed.
- Follow up on breakdowns.
- Rebuilds
- Operating and maintaining
- Completing checklists
- Adhering to relevant regulations and safety standards.
- Inspect equipment for proper functioning.
