Be responsible for all mechanical maintenance activities conducted with underground equipment and vehicles in providing both a reactive and pro-active, multi-skilled maintenance service on all operational equipment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Timeous and quality delivered mechanical tasks
- On site breakdowns, call outs, repairs, modifications, routine equipment audits.
- Managing quality.
Supported stakeholders
- Provide technical support and advice to the operations and clients about the implementation of, training on, and marketing of the ECU systems.
Prevented waste/managed cost
- Managing stocks.
- Managing cost control
Prevented/mitigated mechanical task and operational risks
- Manage compliance to all relevant SHERQ legislation and codes of practice
- Maintenance of equipment and vehicles.
- Audit maintenance plan compliance
- Pump safety audits
- Maintenance specific inspections
Maintained work environment
- Orderliness and cleanliness of workshop and work environment
- Good housekeeping.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- Trade test red seal - Mechanical
Experience
- 5 years' experience in a mining maintenance environment, preferably plant and machinery
- 3 years' understanding of and practical experience in pneumatics, hydraulics and pumps
- PLC controls and basic instrumentation Advantageous

- Ability to reference and interpret technical operating manuals, specifications drawings and diagrams.

- Demonstrated understanding of the principles and applications associated with manufacturing operations, maintenance and quality.
