- Our client, a well-established company in the passenger transport industry, is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional with heavy-duty vehicle experience who takes pride in delivering quality workmanship and keeping fleet vehicles operating at peak performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and service diesel engines and mechanical systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections on fleet vehicles.
- Troubleshoot faults using diagnostic equipment and implement effective repairs.
- Service and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Ensure all work complies with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Maintain accurate service records and workshop documentation.
Minimum Requirements
- Qualified Diesel Technician with relevant trade qualification.
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Diesel Mechanic.
- Experience working on heavy-duty vehicles Volvo bus experience advantageous.
- Proficient in using Volvo Tech Tool and other diagnostic equipment.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engine repair, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Valid driver's licence with excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
