The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing and servicing diesel-powered vehicles, machinery and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime. Detail: Key Responsibilities Conduct routine servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance on diesel vehicles and equipment. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults. Perform engine overhauls, repairs and component replacements where required. Troubleshoot mechanical problems and identify the root cause of breakdowns. Ensure all repairs and maintenance are completed according to required safety and quality standards. Maintain accurate records of services, repairs and maintenance performed. Assist with breakdowns and emergency repairs when required. Ensure tools, equipment and work areas are maintained in a safe and organised condition. Minimum Requirements Grade 12 or equivalent. Qualified Diesel Mechanic / relevant trade qualification. Minimum 3–5 years' experience as a Diesel Mechanic. Experience working on diesel-powered vehicles, trucks, plant or heavy machinery. Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities. Valid driver's licence. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Key Competencies Strong mechanical and technical knowledge.
