Job Title: Diesel Mechanic - (Head Mechanic) Start Date: 2026-05-04 - 2026-07-31 Vacancy Type: Permanent PTA000709 Sectors: Engineering, Technical & Mining Location: Northern Cape , Postmasburg Salary: To be discussed Brief: diesel mechanic|postmasburg|senior diesel mechanic Bilnor Staffing Solution's client in the mining sector is seeking an experienced DIESEL MECHANIC (HEAD MECHANIC) to join their team in Postmasburg, NC . **South African Citizens and those living in the area will be given preference** Detail: Minimum Requirements: Trade Tested Diesel Mechanic qualification Minimum 5–8 years' experience working on heavy mining or earthmoving equipment Previous supervisory or team leader experience Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills Experience on equipment such as CAT, Komatsu, Bell, Hitachi, Volvo, or similar Valid driver's license Key Responsabilities: Supervising and leading a team of diesel mechanics and assistants Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing heavy-duty diesel machinery Managing preventative and breakdown maintenance schedules Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company procedures Conducting inspections and quality checks on completed repairs Coordinating parts, tools, and maintenance requirements Providing technical guidance and mentoring junior staff Maintaining accurate maintenance and service records Working closely with site management to ensure operational efficiency Skills: Good communication and leadership skills Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Knowledge of health and safety standards within mining or construction environments Willingness to work overtime or shifts when required Advantageous Experience in opencast mining environments OEM training certifications Computer literacy and maintenance reporting experience Valid medical fitness certificate for mine sites Duties, Responsibilities & Reasons for Leaving at each Company MUST be listed on CV.
