What You Will Be Responsible For
Productivity output
- Maintaining detailed records of serviced vehicles
- Ensure correct measurement of products are used to avoid production waste
Inventory handling
- Adhere to an inspection procedure checklist
- Maintaining a parts inventory
Mechanical ability
- Running diagnostic tests on vehicles.
- Analyzing diagnostic test results.
- Replacing vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions and braking systems.
- Checking vehicle lighting systems
- Performing preventative maintenance on service trucks
Adherence to sound SHERQ principles
- Wear the correct PPE
- Adhere to good housekeeping principles
- Ensure all SHERQ requirements are met
What You Will Bring
Qualifications
- Grade 12
- Code 10 Driver's licence
- Diesel Mechanic Trade Test Certificate Red Seal
Experience
- 3 year's demonstrated experience as a Diesel Mechanic Truck and LDV.
- 3 years demonstrated knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
- Proven working experience in an Explosives environment.
