A leading technology-driven organisation is seeking a Developer to join its IT team. This role is suited to a versatile software professional who enjoys working across the full software development lifecycle while helping to shape innovative solutions that improve business processes and customer outcomes. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and supporting business systems, integrating third-party platforms, and contributing to the adoption of AI-powered technologies. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs, deliver scalable solutions, and continuously improve system performance, reliability, and user experience. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and support business-critical software solutions.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering through to deployment and support.
• Develop and maintain integrations with internal and third-party systems.
• Build scalable, high-performance applications using modern development practices.
• Develop and support REST APIs and microservices.
• Troubleshoot production issues and optimise application performance.
• Contribute to AI-enabled solutions and automation initiatives.
• Participate in system design, architecture discussions, and code reviews.
• Implement development standards, deployment methodologies, and version control processes.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to deliver efficient and innovative technology solutions.

Job Experience and Skills Required

• Diploma in Software Development, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline will be advantageous.
• Additional AI, Machine Learning, or Data Science certifications are beneficial.
• 3 to 6 years of software development experience.
• Experience mentoring or supporting junior developers.
• Practical experience developing or integrating AI-enabled solutions.
• Experience working within Agile or Scrum environments.
• Proven experience developing enterprise-grade applications and integrations.
• Experience troubleshooting and supporting production systems.
• C# and .NET development.
• Client-server applications and Windows Services.
• REST API development and integration.
• Microservices architecture.
• Relational and non-relational databases.
• Cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Git version control.
• XML and JSON technologies.
• Message brokers such as RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus, or similar.
• Database design and data modelling.
• Cloud engineering and modern development practices.
• Angular or React development experience.
• Azure DevOps.
• CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Azure Durable Functions.
• Elasticsearch.
• Experience within finance, claims, insurance, or invoicing environments.
• Strong software development and problem-solving abilities.
• Practical understanding of AI technologies and applications.
• Analytical mindset with strong troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Ability to work across technical and non-technical teams.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Passion for learning emerging technologies and industry trends.
