- To provide ICT functional support to computer end users in the City of Tshwane
Appointment requirements
- An appropriate three-year career-related tertiary qualification degree or national diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science or any other ICT related study field
- CompTIA A+ Certification
- At least two years' experience in an ICT desktop support environment
- Must undergo a criminal record check and such a person shall allow their fingerprints to be taken by the Tshwane Metro Police Department at own cost

- Planning and organising skills; oral communication skills; data conversion ability; user support skills; communication skills; cognitive ability
Primary functions
- Set up, configure and install new hardware equipment
- Perform software and hardware maintenance
- Provide efficient technical support to all end users
- Maintain an inventory of hardware devices
- Perform all other technical support and administrative duties
- Investigate and resolve hardware and software faults
- Ensure that daily service-level agreements are met
