- To identify the season's trends and combine this with PEP customer knowledge to ensure the most desirable product goes to stores to surprise and delight our customers.
Requirements Key Responsibilities
- Keep abreast of seasonal trends and find ways to adapt these for our customers.
- Collaborate with buyers to put the best range forward.
- Collaborate with buyers on product workshops and seasonal themes.
- Manage the tech pack process and adhere to trigger dates with technologists.
- Lead, mentor and develop a team of graphic designers.
- Ensure critical deadlines are met.
- Keep up to date with competitors through store visits.
- Build collaborative relationships with the buying team and feed trend information.
- Presenting ideas to the merchandise team in a professional manner.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Competencies
- Fashion Design Diploma or relevant degree.
- 5 years of design experience within a large retail space.
- Must have design experience in clothing
- Experience in discount / value retail.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign.
- Knowledge of fabric, garment construction, and designing into price points.
- Competencies required: Performing under pressure, Presenting, Flexibility, Integrity, Creativity, Initiative, Persuasiveness, Market oriented
