BARGAINING COUNCIL FOR THE FURNITURE MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY- KWAZULU-NATAL Vacancy: Designated Agent The Bargaining Council is currently looking for an analytical, responsible, professional, driven, hands-on, tenacious and dynamic individual to add to our team. Mandatory Requirements: Qualification, Skills and Experience 1. MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS :

• Must have worked in a Bargaining Council environment or a similar environment.
• 5 years of relevant experience.
• A qualification in Labour Relations/Industrial Relations.
• Broad and specific understanding of the S.A. Labour Relations Act, B.C.E. Act and Collective Bargaining Agreements.
• Valid Code B driver’s license.
• MS Office skills: Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

2. Skills and Experience Required : • Ability to adhere to and execute instructions. • Analytical skills and attention to detail. • Proactive with strong problem- solving abilities to ensure timely and accurate resolution of reconciling items/problems. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise to ensure timely and accurate resolution is obtained, • Ability to work under pressure and within a deadline-driven environment. • Have experience in arbitration proceedings in preparing and representing the Council at hearings regarding non-compliance. • Level of adaptability.
