• Lead and oversee multidisciplinary engineering, design, and draughting teams across a portfolio of projects • Manage and coordinate all technical aspects of engineering design activities to ensure successful project execution • Monitor project progress, resource utilization, and team performance to achieve delivery targets • Provide technical direction and support to engineering and design personnel • Review, approve, and guide engineering calculations, designs, and technical deliverables • Ensure all engineering activities comply with established procedures, design review processes, and change management requirements • Coordinate engineering resources to meet project schedules, deliverables, and budget requirements • Report on project progress and performance to project management and key stakeholders • Promote safety in design principles and maintain technical integrity throughout project execution • Support the growth and development of Engineers-in-Training through mentoring and coaching • Drive innovation, efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and design functions Skills & Experience:
• Minimum 15 years' experience within mineral processing, mining, or related industries • Experience in gold processing projects will be advantageous • Extensive knowledge of engineering studies, project execution, and detailed design methodologies • Proven experience leading multidisciplinary engineering and design teams • Strong understanding of mine operations, project risks, and engineering best practices • Demonstrated ability to manage engineering deliverables within budget and schedule constraints Qualification:
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Engineering qualification • Professional Registration with ECSA or an equivalent professional body is essential Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
