Junior Mechanical Design Engineer for Bespoke Mining equipment. Bespoke Equipment Design: Develop customized mechanical, hydraulic, and structural systems from concept to fabrication-ready 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings. Engineering Calculations: Perform rigorous analytical and numerical verifications, including sizing, stress analysis, and Finite Element Analysis (FEA). Custom Integration: Integrate mechanical drives, heavy-duty structural weldments, wear packages, and automated or electrical control interfaces. Documentation & Compliance: Generate accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs), assembly manuals, and design change notices aligned with ISO quality controls and regional mining standards. Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of manufacturing processes (machining, heavy plate fabrication, casting, and surface treatments) and material selection for high-wear environments. Duties & Responsibilities
Experience: 3 to 5 years of heavy industrial or mining equipment design experience, ideally focusing on custom or EPCM-driven project execution. Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in 3D CAD modeling software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Autodesk Inventor, plus FEA analysis tools. Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of manufacturing processes (machining, heavy plate fabrication, casting, and surface treatments) and material selection for high-wear environments.
