Position: Design Engineer (Junior)
Reporting to: Engineering Manager
Location: Linbro Business Park, Sandton
Salary: R40,000 – R50,000 per month CTC (negotiable based on academic performance and potential)
Employment Type: Permanent
About the Role
A bright, driven junior Design Engineer is sought to join a dynamic engineering team. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early‑career engineer who has excelled academically and is eager to build a career in mechanical and electrical design within industrial and mining applications.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the design and development of mechanical and electrical components for drive systems and related applications.
Support senior engineers with concept development, technical drawings, and design validation.
Participate in testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of existing designs.
Liaise with drafting and production teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and meet technical standards.
Contribute to technical documentation and design reports.
Learn and apply relevant industry standards and engineering practices.
Requirements
Relevant engineering qualification ( BEng Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent).
Strong academic record.
Solid understanding of engineering design principles.
Willingness to learn and be mentored.
Excellent problem‑solving ability and attention to detail.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
