- The Deputy Nursing Manager will be responsible for the clinical nursing management of the hospital. This includes the co-ordination of all functions and activities related to the provision, promotion and assurance of clinical patient care, via the leadership of a multidisciplinary team in consultation with all relevant stakeholders.
Key Performance Areas: include but are not limited to
- Ensure 100 % reporting of all incidents and alerts
- Investigate and Report all incidents as per Lenmed / Hospital policy
- Ensure that you provide safe, cost effective quality patient care in line with the clinical governance strategy of Lenmed / hospital and evidence based practice
- Evaluate nursing quality indicators and clinical outcomes
- Promote health and wellbeing of patients and employees
- Ensure the principles of infection prevention and all international standard precautions are adhered to
- Implement group quality initiatives
- Identify areas of non-compliance via units clinical audits
Post Requirements: include but are not limited to
- A relevant nursing qualification Diploma/Degree in General Nursing, PGDip Health Services Management
- Minimum 5 Years relevant Management experience in a private sector
- Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse
- Sound financial knowledge and the ability to interpret financial data
- Computer literacy
