Role: Deputy Factory Manager – Manufacturing Excellence
Location: Vereeniging
Our Client in the fast-moving industry manufacturing ceramics and sanitaryware.
The Role
As Deputy Factory Manager, you will drive productivity, quality and operational excellence within our factory. Leveraging cutting-edge technology and processes, you'll lead a manufacturing team to deliver beautiful products to our clients while ensuring cost-effective, safe and reliable production.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute asset preservation strategies
- Manage maintenance effectiveness to optimise plant performance
- Drive continuous improvement and defect elimination
- Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team
- Ensure compliance with SHERQ regulations and standards
- Oversee production processes to meet quality and output targets
What they are looking for
- NQF Level 6/7 Engineering degree (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or Metallurgy)
- 5+ years post-qualification experience in FMCG or mining
- Strong leadership, problem-solving and change management skills
- Proven ability to manage budgets, KPIs and capital projects
- Commitment to safety, health, environment and quality
