MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role within a hotel or reputable restaurant. • Culinary diploma or equivalent professional training is advantageous. • Strong culinary skills and practical experience within a specific kitchen section. • Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistent taste, quality and presentation. • Ability to guide, train and support Commis Chefs and kitchen assistants. • Good understanding of kitchen operations, stock control and inventory management. • Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene and health and safety standards. • Strong time management, organisational and problem-solving skills. • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards. • A collaborative approach and ability to work effectively within a kitchen team. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with food preparation and cooking according to established recipes and presentation standards. • Support the Chef de Partie with the daily operation of your assigned section. • Maintain consistent flavour, quality and presentation throughout service. • Help train and supervise Commis Chefs and kitchen assistants. • Monitor stock levels, assist with supply orders and ensure freshness while minimising waste. • Maintain a clean, organised section and follow hygiene and safety procedures. • Contribute ideas for new dishes and improvements to existing recipes. • Work closely with the kitchen team to maintain efficient service. • Resolve challenges within your section promptly and support a positive working environment.
