Alberton based company is looking for a Demand Planner from the Retail sector
Duties & Responsibilities
Experienced and commercially driven Demand Planner to lead the end-to-end development, sourcing, and delivery of their products.
Managing to full product lifecycle - from international sourcing and supplier negotiation to packaging, quality control, and retail readiness - across approx. 2,500 SKU's spanning from crockery, cutlery, glassware, barware, bakeware, and kitchenware.
The successful candidate will oversee both international branded ranges and proprietary house brands (e.g. Regent and Bar Butler), ensuring that all products meet quality, cost and market requirements.
Ensuring that product ranges are relevant, commercially viable, and delivered effiently - directly impacting profitability, brand strenth, and customer satisfaction.
Develop, curate and optimize product ranges aligned with market trends and retailer requirements.
Negotiate pricing, MOQs, production timelines, and quality standards
Establish and maintain strong supplier partnerships.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Experienced in demand planning from retail, analyze data and market trends to forecast future product demand, ensuring optimal inventory levels that balance customer availability.
Strong understanding of import processes, costing and global supply chains
Commercial and analytical mindset
Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
Experience in homeware, kitchenware, or related product categories highly advantageous.
