Requirements
- Grade 12. A minimum qualification of Diploma / Degree in Finance/ Accounting or equivalent qualification. Minimum of 02 - 03 years relevant experience in Finance. Knowledge of local government legislations. MFMA certificate will be an added advantage. A valid driver's license.
Computer literacy
- MS Office.
Purpose of the Job
- Coordinates and implements key performance areas associated with the procuring of products and/ or specific services. Conducting need analysis for various municipal departments to identify and understand their operational and capital requirements. Collecting and analyzing data to help compile the municipality's annual procurement plan. Researching market trends, pricing, and product availability to ensure cost-effective purchasing. Providing input into the drafting of tender notices and/or formulation of contracts in respect of procuring and appointing vendors / service providers for the delivery of specific services. Ensures all demand activities follow the Municipal Finance Management Act MFMA and other public sector procurement frameworks. Compiles and captures the Supply Chain database register. Be conversant with CIDB requirements and other applicable legislations.
