Our corporate client, a specialist in deceased estates transfers is seeking a professional Conveyancer with management/team leader experience. Our client serve as the exclusive conveyancers for major fiduciary and insurance corporates. The transfer team attends to transfers of immovable property from deceased estates to third parties, whether in terms of testate or intestate succession or by way of sale out of a respective deceased estate.
Duties & Responsibilities
Only conveyancers are qualified to attend to the process of transferring and registering properties in the
deeds office. A conveyancer is an admitted attorney who has passed a specialised conveyancing
examination and has subsequently been admitted by the High Court of South Africa to practice as a
conveyancer.
The conveyancing attorney plays a pivotal role in the transfer process and is the driving force behind the
transaction overseeing each step of the process. The attorney will request information from both the
purchaser and the seller in order to prepare certain documents for signature and will also obtain further
necessary documents like municipal rates- or body corporate and homeowners association clearance
certificates, transfer duty receipts from SARS etc. Most importantly, the conveyancing attorney will see
to all financial aspects relating to the transaction and will ensure that the proceeds of the sale of the
property is paid to the seller as soon as possible following registration at the Deeds Office.
- Management of day-to-day operations of teams.
- Ownership of the client experience.
- Cultivating and maintaining relationships with all clients and Estate Practitioners.
- Managing the timeous and effective resolution of client requests / queries.
- Leadership and management of all staff appointed within their teams.
- System access and confidential management, within all company policies and procedures.
- Timeous completion of all reports and forecasts.
- Full range of conveyancing duties and responsibilities.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Matric
- Admitted Attorney
- Admitted Conveyancer with at least 3 years' post-admission experience
- Admitted Notary ( beneficial )
- Estate Administration experience
- Experience of managing teams/departments ( beneficial )
