To strengthen our team, we are seeking a Deceased Estate Administrator with practical knowledge, attention to detail, and a commitment to client‑focused service. Duties & Responsibilities

1) Estate Intake and Reporting to the Master of the High Court

  • Conduct the in-person consultation with the client.
  • Gather all necessary information and documentation.
  • Complete the internal forms and all documentation required by the Master’s Office.
  • Compile the Master’s documents and supporting documents into a “Master’s Pack”.
  • Request the Letters of Executorship or Letters of Authority.
  • Apply for a Bond of Security only if requested by the Master of the High Court.

2) File Management and Compliance

  • FIC screening.
  • Open and maintain both a hardcopy and an online file for each estate.
  • Scan and save all received documents.
  • Ensure crucial compliance sub-files are maintained.

3) Administration and Asset Management

  • Receive the Letters of Executorship/Letters of Authority.
  • Type the necessary letters for each institution.
  • Send the letters and supporting documents to the institutions.

4) Property and Advertisement Procedures

  • Place the Section 29 “Debtors and Creditors advert”
  • Place the Section 35 “L&D advert”

5) Financial Reporting and Client Communication

  • Follow up on a monthly basis, diarizing feedback for a month, and escalating matters.
  • Draft the Liquidation and Distribution (L&D) Account once all necessary information regarding assets and claims has been received.
  • Keep the clients in the loop.

6) Estate Closure

  • Respond to the Master’s Questionnaire.

Desired Experience & Qualification

1) Matric.

2) 3+ years experience in Deceased Estate Administration.
