A well-established logistics company servicing the petrochemical industry is seeking a Debriefing Clerk to join their operations team on a 3-month fixed-term contract based in Sea Cow Lake, KwaZulu-Natal.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with experience in transport and logistics administration who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Debrief drivers upon completion of trips.
- Verify and reconcile delivery documentation, trip sheets, PODs, fuel slips, and related paperwork.
- Capture and update transport information accurately on the company system.
- Identify and report discrepancies, shortages, damages, or delivery issues.
- Liaise with drivers, dispatch, and operations to resolve documentation queries.
- Ensure all debriefing records are completed accurately and submitted within required timeframes.
- Maintain filing and administrative records in accordance with company procedures.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Previous experience in a Debriefing Clerk, Transport Clerk, Logistics Administrator, or similar role.
- Experience within the transport, logistics, or distribution industry is essential.
- Strong administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Computer literacy (MS Office; transport management systems will be advantageous).
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Must be willing and able to work shifts, including weekends (Saturdays)
- Reliable transport to and from Cato Ridge is advantageous.
