Duties include

• Manage and control the dealership's financial accounting and reporting functions. • Ensure compliance with OEM and dealership policies, procedures, and internal controls. • Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reporting packs. • Ensure all balance sheet reconciliations and allocations are completed accurately and timeously. • Manage daily cash flow, cash movements, and banking requirements to optimise available funds. • Oversee the collection of outstanding accounts and ensure effective debtor management. • Manage dealership financial information and ensure the integrity and accuracy of data on the DMS. • Oversee user access, system controls, passwords, and financial reporting systems. • Prepare and monitor departmental budgets in conjunction with line managers and the Dealer Principal. • Monitor dealership performance against budget and provide financial insight to management. • Manage vehicle floorplan, stock funding, and timely settlement of vehicles. • Monitor OEM accounts, outstanding balances, incentives, and clawbacks. • Prepare and verify monthly departmental commission schedules. • Ensure all variable incentives and clawbacks are correctly calculated and authorised. • Maintain effective fixed asset controls and ensure accurate recording and depreciation. • Oversee vehicle stock checks and assist with bi-annual stock take processes. • Ensure VAT and other statutory returns are accurately completed and submitted within prescribed deadlines. • Manage applicable FIC reporting requirements and maintain goAML records. • Prepare financial information and documentation for external auditors and coordinate audit requirements. • Process year-end journals and ensure financial records reconcile with the final audited financial statements. • Complete required financial and operational submissions, including Stats SA reporting. • Manage the financial components of the dealership's BBBEE requirements, including procurement, CSI, ED, SED, and skills development. • Train, support, and motivate finance and administration staff. • Ensure staff receive appropriate training and adhere to financial policies and procedures. • Work closely with HR to ensure salary adjustments and related financial information are submitted within required deadlines. • Ensure all financial deadlines, month-end procedures, and reporting requirements are consistently met. Requirements:

  • Grade 12 / Matric qualification.
  • Relevant Financial Management, Accounting, or Finance qualification.
  • Proven experience as a Financial Manager within a franchised motor dealership environment.
  • Strong knowledge of dealership accounting and financial controls.
