Data Leadership & Delivery
- Lead the design, development, and optimisation of data platforms, pipelines, and models.
- Translate business requirements into scalable, high-quality data solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and best practice guidance across the data function.
Data Architecture & Engineering
- Design and implement data architectures, integration layers, APIs, and data marts.
- Ensure efficient data ingestion, transformation, and integration across systems.
- Drive platform scalability, performance, and continuous improvement.
Data Quality & Governance
- Establish and maintain data quality, monitoring, and validation processes.
- Ensure the accuracy, reliability, and availability of critical data assets.
- Implement data governance standards and ensure compliance with POPIA, PAIA, and internal policies.
Job Experience and Skills Required
- Relevant Degree in Data Engineering, Computer Science, Business
- 10 - 15 + years experience in data-related
- 5 years in Data Management
- Experience in platforms, engineering and architecture
- Understanding end-to-end data lifecycle management, including retention, archiving and deletion aligned to legal and business requirements
- Strong understanding of modern data architecture, data platforms and integration patterns (ETL, APIs) across on-prem and cloud environments
