We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Data Capturer & Warehouse Assistant to join our manufacturing and supply team. This role combines accurate data capturing and administrative support with hands-on warehouse duties to ensure efficient inventory management, production support, and order fulfilment. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate records, supporting stock control, and assisting with the daily operations of the warehouse.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Data Capturing & Administration
Capture purchase orders, sales orders, delivery notes, invoices, and stock movements accurately into the ERP/WMS system.
Maintain accurate inventory and production records.
Process goods received (GRNs) and goods dispatched documentation.
Update customer, supplier, and product information.
Generate reports relating to stock levels, production, dispatches, and inventory.
File and maintain warehouse documentation electronically and physically.
Assist with preparing daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
Ensure all documentation complies with company procedures.
Warehouse Operations
Assist with receiving, inspecting, and recording incoming stock.
Pick, pack, label, and prepare customer orders for dispatch.
Assist with stock replenishment and inventory organisation.
Participate in regular stock counts and annual stock takes.
Ensure stock is stored correctly and safely.
Assist production staff with material movement where required.
Verify stock quantities against delivery notes and purchase orders.
Report damaged or missing stock immediately.
Inventory Control
Monitor inventory accuracy.
Investigate stock discrepancies.
Maintain barcode and labelling systems.
Support FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory practices.
Ensure accurate stock transfers between warehouse locations.
General Warehouse Support
Keep the warehouse clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards.
Assist with loading and unloading deliveries.
Support production and logistics teams during busy periods.
Perform any additional administrative or warehouse duties as required.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 (Matric).
2–3 years' experience in data capturing and warehouse administration.
Previous experience within a manufacturing, FMCG, retail, or distribution environment.
Experience working with inventory or warehouse management systems.
Computer literacy (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook)
Pastel.
Good numerical and data capturing accuracy.
Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Valid driver's licence is advantageous.
Forklift licence is advantageous but not essential.
