Our client, a leading specialist in providing services and equipment to clients in the beverage and commercial arena, is looking for a Data & BI Support Analyst to partner with their BI Manager and help transform multi-source data into powerful business intelligence. This is an exciting opportunity to combine strong analytical skills with modern AI-assisted tools to accelerate reporting, enhance decision-making, and deliver real impact. Duties & Responsibilities

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Building and maintaining data pipelines (ETL) from SQL databases, Excel/CSV, and other sources

• Designing, developing, and enhancing Power BI dashboards and reports (data modelling, DAX, Power Query)

• Writing efficient SQL queries for data extraction, validation, and KPI calculation

• Ensuring data accuracy, quality, and consistency through validation and quality checks

• Using AI tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT) to accelerate insights, detect trends, and produce executive-ready narratives

• Automating reporting processes and improving efficiency

• Collaborating with stakeholders to translate requirements into impactful insights and reporting solutions

• Applying governance best practices, including data privacy (POPIA) compliance

Essential Skills and Qualifications Qualifications & Experience:

• Grade 12 plus a relevant tertiary qualification (Data Analytics, Information Systems, Statistics, Computer Science, or similar)

• 2–4 years’ experience in a Data Analyst or BI support role

• Experience in reporting environments, ideally within operations or service-based industries

Technical Expertise

• SQL (Intermediate to Advanced): joins, aggregations, data validation

• Power BI: data modelling, DAX, Power Query, UX and performance optimisation

• Advanced Excel: Pivot Tables, Power Query, data cleansing

• Exposure to Python or similar tools for automation

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AI tools (Copilot, ChatGPT) and prompt engineering

• Think-Cell
