We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our dynamic banking team supporting our Namibia and Botswana operations. You will play a critical role in analyzing data flows, mapping source systems, enforcing data quality standards and seamlessly bridging the gap between business requirements and technical implementation.
Duties & Responsibilities
Data Mapping & Pipeline Design: Analyze source systems, map data to target enterprise models, and define transformation rules for Data Engineers.
Requirements & Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with business and data teams to unpack requirements, evaluate solution options, and present analytical findings to key stakeholders.
Data Quality & Governance: Conduct root-cause analysis on data discrepancies, manage metadata/reference data, and ensure pipeline alignment with Group Information Architecture.
Analytics & Reporting: Query disparate data sources, run time-series analyses, build classification models, and enhance existing Power BI reports and cubes.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Strong hands-on proficiency with SQL , SSRS , and Power BI .
Proven domain experience in banking, specifically across
Structured Lending (ACBS)
Regulatory & Statutory Reporting (Credit, Finance, Market Risk, Liquidity)
Payments (Fintegrate) and Funding
Experience in data modeling, source-to-target mapping, and technical business analysis.
Excellent communication skills to interface between technical data teams and business stakeholders.
