We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst to join our Data team and support the business by turning data into meaningful insights that enable better decision-making. The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing data from multiple sources, identifying trends and patterns, developing reports and dashboards, and working closely with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver accurate, actionable insights. This role will suit someone who is analytical, detail-oriented and comfortable working across both business and technical teams. What you'll do:
• Analyse large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns and business insights. • Gather and interpret business requirements and translate them into data and reporting requirements. • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards and analytical solutions. • Extract, clean, transform and validate data from multiple sources. • Perform data profiling and identify data quality issues or inconsistencies. • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand reporting and analytical needs. • Present findings and insights in a clear and meaningful way to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Support business decision-making through data-driven analysis. • Develop and maintain data models, metrics and KPIs. • Perform ad hoc analysis in response to business requirements. • Identify opportunities to improve reporting, processes and data usage. • Work closely with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Architects and other technical teams. • Support data integration, migration and transformation initiatives where required. • Document reporting requirements, data definitions, business rules and analytical processes. • Ensure data accuracy, integrity and consistency across reports and analytical outputs. Your Expertise:
• Proven experience working as a Data Analyst , Business Intelligence Analyst or similar role. • Strong SQL skills. • Experience analysing and interpreting large datasets. • Strong experience with reporting and visualisation tools. • Experience developing dashboards and management reports. • Good understanding of data modelling and relational database concepts. • Experience with data cleansing, transformation and validation. • Strong Microsoft Excel skills. • Ability to translate business requirements into analytical solutions. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Excellent attention to detail. • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. • Ability to explain complex data and insights to non-technical stakeholders. Advantageous Experience: Experience with any of the following would be advantageous:
• Power BI. • Tableau or similar visualisation tools. • Python or R for data analysis. • Microsoft Azure. • Databricks. • Microsoft Fabric. • Azure Synapse Analytics. • Snowflake. • Data warehousing environments. • ETL/ELT processes. • Data governance and data quality frameworks. • Agile project environments. Qualifications:
• Relevant degree or diploma in Data Analytics, Information Technology, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Intelligence or a related field. • Relevant Microsoft, Power BI, cloud or data certifications would be advantageous. Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate is a hands-on Data Analyst who enjoys working with data and turning complex information into clear, practical insights. They should be comfortable engaging with business stakeholders to understand what they need, while also having the technical skills required to extract, analyse and present data effectively. We are looking for someone who is curious, analytical, detail-oriented and able to work collaboratively across a fast-paced data environment.
