Data Analyst/ Business Intelligence Developer

Introduction

Our BI team is evolving, and we need a BI Developer to help us bridge the gap between complex data engineering and intuitive visualization. From maintaining robust ETL pipelines to deploying interactive dashboards in Power BI , you will own the full BI lifecycle in a modern, cloud-first environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

Solution Architecture & Development

Architect Dashboards: Design and deploy high-performance, user-centric dashboards in Power BI and Qlik Sense that provide a clear view of global KPIs.

End-to-End Delivery: Manage the complete BI development lifecycle, transforming raw business requirements into polished technical specifications and functional tools.

Visual Storytelling: Translate complex datasets into intuitive visualizations that enable executive leadership to make rapid, data-driven decisions.

Data Engineering & Pipeline Management

ETL/ELT Orchestration: Build and maintain robust data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from disparate global sources into a unified reporting platform.

Integrity & Quality: Implement rigorous data validation scripts and monitoring to ensure "single source of truth" reliability across all reports.

Modernization: Transition legacy processes into the MS Fabric ecosystem, leveraging Synapse Data Engineering to enhance processing speed and scalability.

Optimization & Infrastructure

System Refinement: Continuously audit and tune SQL queries and Spark jobs to optimize performance and reduce processing latency.

Scalability: Stay at the forefront of BI trends, implementing new features within the Microsoft stack to future-proof the global data environment.

Strategic Collaboration

Cross-Functional Partnering: Act as the technical bridge between IT and Data Science teams to ensure high-quality data availability for advanced predictive modeling.

Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate workshops with department heads to identify evolving reporting needs and provide technical guidance on BI best practices.

Documentation: Maintain comprehensive technical documentation of data models, lineage, and dictionary definitions to ensure team continuity.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Education & Certifications

Degree: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.

Preferred Certification: Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate, Azure Data Engineer Associate, or equivalent industry certifications.

Technical Experience

BI Ecosystems: Minimum [Insert Number, e.g., 3-5] years of experience in BI development, with specific proficiency in Power BI and Qlik Sense .

Modern Data Stack: Hands-on experience with MS Fabric and Synapse Data Engineering/Warehousing is highly advantageous.

Programming & Scripting: Strong command of SQL for complex querying, alongside Python and Spark for data processing.

Data Architecture: Proven expertise in Data Modeling (Star/Snowflake schema), warehousing concepts, and end-to-end database management.

ETL/ELT: Demonstrated experience building and maintaining scalable data pipelines and managing the full BI lifecycle from requirement gathering to deployment.

Knowledge & Skills

Deep understanding of Data Integration (unifying disparate data sources into a single source of truth).

Strong capability in Data Visualization , creating intuitive reports that highlight key business metrics and KPIs.

Familiarity with high-performance infrastructure optimization and ensuring Data Integrity across large datasets.
